Review: A Nexus of Lollipop

Introduction

Its rainin’ blood in the premium cellphone market with the launch of Nexus 6 on the sideline of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and not too later than the iPhone 6 release. It seems to be a very definitive move by Google to portray Nexus as a high end customer phone.
Nexus has always been sturdy phone with the latest OS popping in as soon they are released. It is no surprise Nexus 6 flashes the all new Android Lollipop out of the box.
We were amongst the first ones to give a pre-launch review on Nexus 6 which was earlier code-named as #Shamu.
The Nexus 6

Build & Quality

Nexus 6 is built by Motorola, the handset manufacturer that Google is selling to China’s Lenovo Group .A brand which was once the forerunner in stylish and most youth drawing Trendy cellphones. Nexus 6 comes with a screen size of 6" Quad HD display with a resolution of 1440x2560 display (493 ppi). The screen is ofcourse Gorilla Glass 3.Undoubtedly watching videos on it would be irresistible considering one of the best display in the market. To go with the videos is sound and Nexus 6 does not fail to impress here with Dual front-facing speakers that provide immersive stereo sound to give you the best audio for movies and games.
Nexus 6 allows you to switch between editing documents, browsing the web, watching movies, and listening to music.

Camera

Nexus 6 has 13MP rear-facing with optical image stabilization, 2MP front-facing. In comparison to the newly launched Note 4, the front camera will be slightly disappointing for the people who love to click selfies.

The core processing Unit

The Lollipop powered Nexus 6
Nexus 6 is powered by Qualcomm SnapdragonTM 805 - Quad Core 2.7 GHz processor with Adreno 420 GPU. Nexus 6 will be available in 32 and 64 GB variant. There is no confirmation on the RAM yet but we strongly believe it should not be less than 3GB.

Battery

Nexus 6 too boasts of fast charging and mentions 6 hours of use from only 15 minutes of charging. With a large 3220 mAh battery, you are likely to go through a whole day with single charging.

Price and Pre-Orders

There is no final word on the price tag yet but it is expected to be launched at around Rs 44,000 to Rs 48,000 - much less as compared to iPhone 6 and Note 4.

General Observation & Verdict

On the lines of its predecessor, Nexus look Rock solid and with Android Lollipop it already seems to be taking lead in the premium market. For those who like to the latest OS and are music and videos buff, this phone might just hit the spot. We strongly feel this phone will give both Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and iPhone run for its money.
