Getting to know about VIVO X5Max

X5Max is a high on specs phone which comes in a 64Bit Octa-Core processor providing an output of 1.7 Ghz. The phone comes in 5.5 inch screen which promises to be a beast on performance at least on paper. Presuming it will be on the lighter side given its thickness, it will be easier to hold and give you a firm grip.

Build & Quality

Vivo X5Max has solid specifications on paper and poses a threat to even the established brands. Let’s have a quick look at them.

Processor: The phone sports a 64 Bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 which clocks at 1.7GHz

Display: It has a 5.5-inch full HD (1080x1920 pixels) super AMOLED display which should deliver excellent visual experience. Traditionally, super AMOLED display has been a Samsung trademark for its middle and high segment mobiles.

OS: Android Kitkat with Vivo's proprietary Funtouch OS 2.0 UI

Battery: 2000 mAh lithium-polymer battery will be decent enough for a day’s use

Camera: X5Max comes with 13 Megapixels rear camera with autofocus and led flash. The front camera stands at 5 megapixels

Storage & RAM: 16GB out of the box memory expandable up to 128. Phone is powered by 2GB RAM.

General Observation & Verdict

Ups: X5Max has a superb specification on paper. It challenges the benchmarks set by others in most of the areas.

Downs: VIVO is not much heard of in India and it will be question after Xiaomi's ban in India. There will also be availability and services issue. The phone on paper has one set back of having 16GB internal memory and is quite expensive at Rs. 32980/- .
