Review: Pre-Development insights on new iPad Pro

Introduction

In recent past we have shared details on upcoming Tablets and this time we have renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities stating that the new tablet- the iPad Pro will be launched somewhere in the second half of the year and will sport 12.9- inch display further powered by a stylus.

Getting to know more about iPad Pro

It is believed that Stylus-Pen be sold as an optional accessory to keep the price competitive. Kou who is known a person who accurately predicts what Apple products are going to be launched, had studied various stylus related patents which were filed by Apple. Hence he strongly believe that new iPad is round the corner.

Build & Quality

One major question everybody has in mind, what are going to be special with the new iPad in terms of hardware specification and additional features for common man’s use.
From Kou we understand that the stylus will be basic in nature targeted toward business/corporate/educational users and will not showcase 3D writing capabilities as of now, but that is surely on cards with future upgrades.

"The addition of a gyroscope accelerometer to a stylus allows users to write not only on the display, but also on other hard surfaces and even in the air," he wrote. "While this is a fantastic application for a stylus, we think the required software and hardware is not fully developed yet. Hence, we don't expect Apple's stylus to support 3D handwriting in 2015."

Display: 12.9-inches with an ultra-thin form factor with a width between 6.9mm

Processor & RAM: The new iPad pro will sport an A8X processor paired with 2GB of RAM,

Body: Will adore an anti-reflective screen coating, and will come in various colors options

Speaker: Aleast four stereo speakers — two at the top and two at the bottom will power the new iPad

Storage & Battery: These details have not surfaced yet, but we believe it to in line with existing releases of iPad Air Mini etc.

OS: The new iPad Pro will run on a “hybrid” version of iOS which will have support for several OS X’s features

General Observation & Verdict

Apple is known for innovative products. But in last few years we have not seen a giant leap in their portfolio especially in their iPhone & iPad category. We would like to see paradigm shift in what can be called a break through innovative avatar of these products. For now, we will keep you posted as and when we hear more on the new iPad pro.
